Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, the museum is considered an icon of 20th century architecture with its cylindrical gallery wider at the top than the bottom, the interior of which features unique ramp galleries extending up from ground level in a long, continuous spiral along the outer edges of the building, ending under a large skylight.
